Types Of Tours High Toon Offers
- Classic Scenic Tour 2 - 2.5 hours
This tour includes a ride around the Destin Crab Island area into the harbor and adjoining canals with the chance to spot a variety of animals/mammals including, but not limited to dolphins, sea turtles, sting rays, sharks and many bird species including pelicans, great blue herons, osprey, cormorants and the occasional bald eagle. Large schools of fish are common and very visible from the upper deck vantage. These tours often combine sightseeing with some educational commentary about the local ecosystem. We are also privileged enough to be able to witness many types of military aircraft flyovers.
- Sunset Cruise 2 hours
This tour is our most popular tour as it's the perfect way to end the day relaxing aboard the HighToon. The sunset view from the upper deck is like no other. This cruise includes the same tour as the classic with the added bonus of the beautiful sunset!
- Fireworks Cruise 1.5 hours
The Destin harbor comes alive with the weekly fireworks show during the summer months! There's no better place to watch the nighttime fun than from a front row seat aboard the top deck of the High Toon. We start the night out with a short ride around the harbor then position ourselves in a front row position prior to the main event.
- Crab Island Excursion 4 hours
This excursion typically consists of a 2-3 hour stop/off-board at Crab Island and a 1-hour ride around the harbor but can be adjusted to suit the passengers. We have a floating pad and noodles and passengers are welcome to bring additional swimming/snorkeling gear. The world-famous Crab Island is not actually an island in the traditional sense, but rather a sandbar located just north of the Destin Bridge. This shallow area is known for its beautiful, clear waters and it attracts thousands of boaters, swimmers and kayakers every year, making it a hot spot for both locals and tourists to enjoy some fun in the sun. These excursions are offered from 9am-1pm daily.

Captain Tim Aselton
Tim Aselton is a retired firefighter, lifelong fisherman and avid boater. His love for the water and all its amazing wildlife is incredibly contagious! His desire to show everyone what swims beneath the water and flies around the Destin harbor/bay is second to none. He designed the HighToon to seat his customers high above the water giving an incredible vantage point to view what’s below the waterline. Getting everyone involved in spotting fish, turtles, rays and birds makes for a great time in the amazing Destin area with crystal clear water and stunning white sand.
